Georgetown Loop RR Reviews

We had a really nice time on the Georgetown Loop train, though I’ll admit it wasn’t quite what I pictured going in. Since we already had tickets, I expected boarding to be quick, but the line moved slower than we hoped and it felt a lot more crowded than anticipated. Once we were finally on the train, though, the experience was definitely worth it. The scenery was beautiful and the ride itself was really enjoyable. If the lines had moved a little faster, it would’ve been even better. Still a solid 4-star experience for us.

We did the holiday train event and, it was fine. The views were really nice and the staff were super friendly, so no complaints there. But man, it felt packed as hell and way too short for what they charge. Kind of a bummer. The kids still had a great time though, so at least it wasn’t a total dud.

Just a heads up for anyone planning around this train: the ride itself was nice once we finally got moving, but the timing was really frustrating. We got there early and still ended up waiting way longer than expected, with no clear updates about what was going on. It threw off our plans afterward, which was annoying. I’d be careful relying on the schedule too closely until they get better at keeping times or at least communicating delays.

The guide moved us through everything way too fast, and it didn’t really feel like we had time to enjoy any of it. For the ticket price, I was expecting a lot more. kinda disappointing overall.

The train ride itself was totally fine, but the parking situation started the day off on a bad note. The signs weren’t clear at all and the lot was packed, so we ended up driving around in circles and asking random visitors where we were supposed to go. For what the tickets cost, I expected things to be a little more organized. We even got there early and still felt rushed. It kind of felt like nobody had really thought through what guests would deal with when they arrived...

I cancel my trip and was expecting the refund to come back, but still nothing. I keep checking my account and it just isn’t there. Frustrating honestly.

I had a good time on the train ride overall. The views were really nice, and the ride itself was fun. The staff seemed friendly enough too, which always helps... That said, the cleanliness was a little hit or miss. The seats and windows looked kind of dusty, and the bathroom area definitely could’ve used more attention. It wasn’t awful or anything, just not quite as clean as I was expecting. Still glad I went, but for the price, I do think they could keep the train and the waiting areas a bit tidier..

When the rain started, it felt like the staff didn’t really know what to do. I get that weather can be unpredictable, but as a customer it was frustrating because everything suddenly seemed disorganized and unprepared. It made the whole experience feel a lot more stressful than it needed to be.

Not gonna lie, we had a really good time on the Georgetown Loop ride. The bathrooms at the station before boarding were a big relief since we had kids with us. I didn’t see any restrooms on the train itself, so it’s definitely worth going before you get on. The lines were a little backed up after the ride, but nothing too awful. Overall, it was easy and still made for a fun day.

I wasn’t really expecting much from the gift shop, but it had way more cute stuff than I thought it would. I ended up grabbing a couple of mugs and some toys after the ride, and I feel like they were good choices, right?

I was disappointed with the food choices, honestly. The snacks felt way overpriced for what they were (not exactly gourmet stuff), and the drink selection was really limited. I ended up grabbing something anyway, but it definitely wasn’t great.

The views were really good, probably the best part. The seats were kinda cramped though, so it wasn’t the most comfy expereince overall

I was expecting the views to be more scenic, but they were kind of disappointing. It wasn’t terrible, just not as impressive as I had hoped.

I took the train and had a really nice time. The old mining stories during the ride made it feel more meaningful, like I could actually picture what life was like back then, which I really enjoyed. The views were beautiful too, and they made the whole trip feel worth it. It did get a little crowded at times, which took away from the experience a bit, but not enough to ruin it. Overall, I left feeling glad I went. I’d give it 4 stars.

I didn’t feel like things were organized very safely. It might be okay if you’re just quickly grabbing something and the place isn’t busy, but with more people around, the setup felt a bit risky and hard to navigate.

My back was hurting the whole ride, and I feel stupid for trusting them to provide anything close to a comfortable experience. It made the trip way more miserable than it needed to be.

I’m not totally sure if I missed something, but the accessibility felt really bad to me. It was just harder to use than it should’ve been, and I’m fairly sure a lot of people would run into the same issues.

Booking my tickets was really quick and simple! Got the confirmation right away, and everything went through with no issues at all :)

We took the little train trip with family the views were really great. It was a fun thing to do once, especially if you’re with kids or visiting the area. That said, the tickets felt kind of expensive for what it was, and when I had a question about the pricing, I felt a little dismissed instead of actually heard. Still glad we did it, but I’m not sure I’d pay to go again...
